INTERN IN QE: FIRST DAY ... FIRST CALL ... FIRST ...

1st July 2006 ... an unforgettable day in my life. It's the first day of my internship... It's the first day I started to earn money for my family... It's the first day I have to bear responsibility for my patient... It's the first on-call day... It's the first time I felt so exhausted and helpless... It's the first time ... I moved into a <1 Star quarter ...

Many first times make up the first day. Working hard in the ward...Nurses are pretty okiee to new comers...MO esp. Dr. B Yau and Dr.Suen are willing to help us and understanding... Justine, my colleague, is pretty nice! The workload is heavier than I expect but I think it's a normal day ... the problem is that I am not efficient enough. Hope all can improve afterwards!

Thanks to my parents' and Kelvin's support. No water ... No food for 12 hours ... of coz... No urine output ... Going to dehydrate... sunken eyeball...thirsty...dry mouth...skin wrinkled & no more elasticity... Fail to set drips ... feeling frustrated ... Being of no avail... I cannot control myself to call my parents and Kelvin...Wanna cry my heart out ...Have to be strong and tough! Working till 2:30~3:00am... after admission of MA case, Dr. Suen asked me to go back for a nap. Initially I don't wanna sleep but start to ptosis after brushing teeth and washing face. Wake up at 6:00am and I go to the ward. Oh... one suspected ectopic admitted... one case to take blood... In a blink of an eye... it's already 8:45am... finished doing homework... nurse urged me to take a rest!

Yeah! Record Down my experience in FIRST DAY OF INTERN!

Precious Moments in "Precious Moments"

He contributed a lot to my precious moment!

He was involved in my precious moment!

He made this precious moment!

I appreciate every precious moment!

And this records our PRECIOUS MOMENT!

Start a New Life Tomorrow

Our summer holiday has come to an end. I am going to start a new medical life tomorrow. Pretty excited ... Pretty worried ... without any feeling of happiness but some sort of stress... the Stress is mainly come from the sense of responsibility... the Stress is partly come from the deficiency of knowledge ... the Stress is partly come from the lack of experience ...

Just received my Staff Card... NOT as bad as I expected! haha  Quin's one taken in QMH is much better than mine.  After meeting our COS, I know we will be super busy in the next 3 months... Expected... as told by Dr.Lappo.  Mentally prepared ... Physically prepared ... And ... Knowledgably prepared ... Definitely not yet prepared ... Hope very much that everything turns out to be fine next week.

So happy that I could share a nice evening with Quinney days before real pre-internship attachment. What a nice sharing!

So happy that Kelvin bought a precious moment album for me so that I could stick all the beautiful grad dinner picture inside!

When I woke up, I found that ... the album was done!  So Incredible!

Many Thanks my dear!

Graduation Dinner

It's a late entry about my graduation dinner. It was held in New Wing, Exhibition Centre last Tuesday. Time flies... graduation dinner signified the end of our Summer Holiday and indicated the start of our internship.

Thanks to my mommy who financially and mentally supported me to join the party. I have struggled for a short while if I should go to the party. I just got acquainted with less than 1/4 of the class... isn't it worthwhile to join? We must have spent a lot on that party for dressing and make up etc... isn't it worthwhile to spend? The final answer is ... YES WORTHWHILE! It gave me the best shot of my life... It's such a fabulous night that the happy moment of that evening frequently flashback in my mind. I love the dress mommy chose for me... It's the most valuable and beautiful dress that I've ever had in my life... I love the shoes mommy agreed to buy for me... It's the most comfortable high heel shoes that I've ever worn before...

Thanks to my daddy who financially and physically supported me to join the party. Daddy bought me a diamond long time ago in South Africa. It is very simple but sparkling brightly. Once he knew I was going to graduate, he initated to ask Uncle Chan to make it into a necklace for me... What a valuable and precious gift! I love it so so so much...In that evening, daddy came to salon and helped me to take the causal clothes away so that I needn't carry those items to the party. So considerate...

Thanks to my dearest Kelvin who physically and financially supported me to join the party. He bought me a delicated and elegant handbag ...Oh westwood again. I really love it ... Although it is not very expensive, it looks so matched with my dress. What's better, he was my partner on that night. I was surprised that he agreed to join the party without hesitation... I was surprised that he did enjoy the party and played with my colleages... What touched me most was that... he did take good care of me and take good pictures for us... I am very blissful to have my beloved as my partner in such a memorable night! So proud!

Thanks to my buddy Quinney who physically supported me to join the party. She invited me to join their table so Kelvin and I wouldn't be so bored on that night. She urged me to prepare for the dress up otherwise all would become messy... Although we couldn't dress up at that same place ... we arrived and walked inside together. Feel so GREAT & YING! Thanks for your good peers, Ray and Andy who shared the best night with us! I love our pictures so much... I found that I took more picture with you than with Kelvin. XO would be very jealous.

Thanks to my good friends, Fatball, Chuen, Paul, Helena etc... who did share every best moment with me... Thanks to Vivian and her Mom's appreciation... Thanks to Kelly and the nickname she gave me ... (little secret between us!) I love it even if I love Hello Kitty more! Gratitude to those who took pics with me!

Thanks to our professors and teachers who took pictures with us ... A strong feeling of being in Disneyland. They looked very "benign" esp Prof CL Lai who was the guest of our table... and very friendly esp. Prof G Tang... It's my great pleasure to take pictures with all great and stern professors of super high status...I love the picture taken with Prof Young... I love the pictures taken with Dr. US Khoo... I love the picture taken with Dr. Beh and Dr. Huang who treat me very well... I am very excited to see Dr. Karen Chan in the party...

Thanks to my hairstylist Whiskey who made a good pony tail for me!

Never do I forget such a fantastic night in my life! Never do I feel regret to join the party! Never do I forget the best shot of my 25 years! Never do I ... Never do I ...

The Last Pre-Internship Free Saturday

Time flies... Next Saturday I will have been busy with the pre-internship attachment... Struggling whether to study at home or go shopping, I choose going out with Kelvin eventually.

Tomorrow is Father's Day. Initially I wanna invite Daddy to have tea, however, considering that the Chinese restaurant must be crowded with people, we decide to celebrate home. Kelvin and I chose a Father's Day gift today which is also useful for Dad and Mom. Hope very much that they'd like it.

Next Tuesday is Graduation Dinner. I am unexpectedly not very excited but what I wanna do is ... to celebrate a best night with my friends and take some pictures with the professors!  Kelvin is going with me too and it makes me feel more comfortable.. coz I am still pretty new in this class... I have few bosom friends only ... Kelvin will acommpany with me and take good care of me in the party even if I am bored and lonely.  How wonderful that I can share a memorable night with my beloved. We can dress up together to celebrate my graduation! Isn't it fabulous that RAP can be my partner in such an important party?  Many thanks for your companion! Also it's very nice of Quin to recruit us to sit with her group. Thank sweety!

My gratitude to my parents is more than I say Thank You as they always treat me the best and give me the best. I know they love me so much and so do I. I'd try my utmost in the career so as not to let you down. I'm really proud of being the daughter of my dearest Dad & Mom.

Today I got 2 T shirts from my super favorite stores, Kilara. YEAH! I bought some stationeries for my internship in Jusco...I bought a little handbag... and I bought some food too. We had a "simple" dinner which cost $38 only in Jusco food court. Cheap & Simple though it is, we were full and felt pretty enjoyable.
